Melina has had a passion for dance since childhood. From jazz and ballet classes as a young child, cheerleading in high school and modern in college, Melina has always found some way to keep dancing.

Melina has been dancing professionally since 2004 when she began a ballroom teacher training program at an independent studio in San Diego, CA. After the yearlong teaching apprenticeship she obtained her Associate Level Certification in American style Rhythm and Smooth dancing. She continued to teach part time and performed on several salsa teams in the San Diego area. Melina moved to the Washington, DC area in 2009 and began teaching and performing with The Elite Rumbero Dance Team in 2010. She also taught part time at Latin Dancer, Inc. throughout 2012 and 2013 while continuing to teach and perform with the Elite Rumbero Dance Team.

In 2013 Melina decided to get back to her ballroom roots and began teaching part time at Arthur Murray in Tysons Corner, VA. Now that Melina is happily relocated back to the West Coast she has decided to dedicate herself to teaching and performing full time and is thrilled to have joined the Temecula Arthur Murray team.
